Well it looks like this might be the last one I am participating in... the sun is setting and there is no more time for crafting tonight :-(  I can't wait to catch up during the week though!

Ok, last challenge - make your own embellishment... for this card, I made the rosette...

The die cut package is from Make a Wish, and the sentiment and stars is from Birthday Tags 2012.

ah...limited supply challenge :-) I just love these colors together! Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist and Simply Chartreuse.

I stamped the flowers in Hawaiian Shores (from Flower Fusion) and the stems in Simply Chartreuse.  I then added the little star flower from Iconic Images.  The sentiment and label is from Happy Day. All of this was added to an Aqua Mist Card Base.

Ok, I'm plugging right along... I loved watching all the ribbon tutorials - but I think the one that caught my eye was the simple leaf technique that Melissa showed.

I used the Notched flower and Tag Sale die, and stamps from Background Basics: Newsprint and Iconic Images.

Well I had a very busy day yesterday during PTI's Stamp-a-Faire, so I am only just getting to play this evening.  I played along with the morning Make n take - substituting my favorite stamp - the medallions for the flowers.

I'm hoping I get to play along with most of the challenges ... but the sun is fading here, it might be less than I hoped :-)  Oh well there is always time to catch up during the week.

CHA!

Hello!  Today was the first "official" day of CHA and I was lucky enough to be there!  If you were there, you would have seen me at the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L booth - with some of my fellow design team members...

Now that CHA is upon us, I am VERY excited that I get to share my projects that I made with all of you!

I made a gift set with matching card, gift bag and bottle tag.

All of the items featured glitter and flocking as unifying elements :-)

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you!

I wanted to say thank you to those of you that have taken the time to leave comments on my posts - especially the one before this one. Your kind words are always encouraging!  So today, I am sharing a card just for YOU!

a BIG THANK YOU!

I used Peaceful Garden (always did love that set!) and the dragonfly from Places Please (both sets are PTI).  its probably hard to tell, but I stamped the seed pods in light purple across the background, and used one as a focal point in darker purple.

Have a great weekend! Hope to see some of you at CHA next week!

I don't run.

I don't run. Last year, Thanksgiving, I ran in my first 5K (I use the term "run" loosely!) but I finished! and I felt LESS guilty about stuffing my face the rest of the day.

I don't run.  July 1, I did my first obstacle race... the Dirty Girl.. a women-only, mud-filled day of fun to raise money for Breast Cancer. My awesome friend Becca (she DOES run!) was my faithful partner as we made our way over walls, through mud pits, around tires, up a cargo net, and through MORE mud pits...  here we are at the end...

I don't run. This year, I decided it was time to make a change.  I needed to eat better and move MORE. I am lucky to live in an area with LOTS of trails - so what better way to get out and exercise then by hitting the trails?

Then I figured out, I could combine this new "hobby" with my love of being crafty...

I made my own Running Journal :-) A hybrid of sorts - a place to record my training, add pictures from races, and keep memorabilia. Here are pictures of the inside...

...and some more pages for when my Dirty Girl pictures show up...

The back section is divided by months so I can record race times, training, paces etc...

I don't run.  I am just starting out with the Ease to 5K program (free App in App store!) - well I am on week 3. At week 8 I have a 5K - and it is my goal to RUN the ENTIRE thing...even though... I don't run.

Kristen :-)
