Coffee Cup Birthday Tags

I knew when I saw this coffee cup stamp, it was going to come home to live with me!  My hubby and I drink coffee... A LOT of coffee... even right before we go to bed.

This is the first time I have had a chance to really break it out and have fun with it... I paired it up with a sentiment from Trendy Tree Tops (PTI).

Dot Spot Thank You Cards

I am on a HUGE Green & Blue kick lately... I am just loving these two colors together :-)  Just for fun, I shook things up by including some pink as well.  Colors are Simply Chartreuse, Hawaiian Shores and Berry Sorbet (PTI)

Tea Cup Gift Tags

So I finally had a few days off from work, and I took advantage of the time to get crackin' on some crafty projects :-)

I broke out my Tea Cup stamps and my new inks that came this week - and got to stamping!

Masculine Gift Tags

I'm not sure why I am on a Father's Day kick lately... Mother's Day isn't even here yet!! I think it's because my dad has been over at my house a lot in the last few days - doing odd jobs and supervising several improvement projects :-)   Anyhow - here is a little set of tags I made for the "men" in your life :-)

I used the Tie die from PTI and the paper is scraps from My Mind's Eye. I stamped the frame in Kraft ink from PTI ( I LOVE that color!)

Cards from Leftovers, part 2

Ok, ok, I know I am a bit early with this one - but the masculine colors and my intense desire to try out my new stamp set led me to this card -

This time, I used the patterned paper in a horizontal orientation, and capped it off with a stamped die cut from Happy Day (oh how I am loving this set already!)

I'm just hoping I remember where I put this card come June... LOL!

Cards from Leftovers, part 1

Hello-

If you are like me, you just HATE throwing away scraps of paper - especially if its a pattern or color scheme that you particularly love.

That is what happened here.  I had some leftover paper from My Mind's Eye - and I loved the color combo so much, I knew I had to use it all up!

I used a few of the scraps plus some glitter ribbon to create a vertical strip.  I broke that up with a die cut from Happy Day (PTI), a scalloped circle and a stamped tag from 2012 Birthday Tags (PTI).

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I'll show you another card I made using the rest of the leftovers :-)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all of you that celebrate it :-)

I spent today with my cousins - participating in an Egg Hunt - needless to say, I found my egg last!

For my little cousins, I whipped up these quick treat bags.  I filled the bags with Bunny Bait - Popcorn, pretzels, pastel marshmallows, and M&Ms. YUM!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Small Success!

Ok, this will be a non-craft related post - but somethnig I am excited about none-the-less :-)

This is Maddux:

She is Labradoodle.  She was my wedding present 4 years ago :-)  She was named for Greg Maddux (ex-Cubs Pitcher)and she is fluffy like a stuffed animal...a 65 pound stuffed animal...

She is lovable and SMART - but...no fault of her own, her owners..cough cough (me) have been neglecting her training to make her a good canine citizen. YIKES!  Luckily a good friend of mine is a dog trainer, and has been graciously helping us via telephone (all the way from Arizona!).

We have been working on basics the past 3 weeks, and this week was our chance to get out and practice walking on a leash...like a GOOD dog, NOT a wild dog!  I have been apprehensive about this, as I know how excited she gets when we are outside- and there is so much to see... well my friend told me to gather up the confidence and DO IT!

Well I am happy to say that we just got back from her first "REAL" walk - and we walked a mile!  She did awesome!!  I am so happy! We didn't run across any other people or dogs as distractions - so the true test will be as we go along - but we did have plenty of NATURAL distractions... creeks, lakes, bridges, birds...PINECONES! :-)

Hopefully this is one of many successes to come!

Have a great weekend and a blessed Easter :-)

Fuzzy Dodz!

What? I know...sounds funny, right? I have a post up at the Crafty Power Blog today - and I explain it all :-)

Here is the card I made for that post:

See those fuzzy centers? I made them using fun flock and a new product (well, new to the US - our European friends have been enjoying these for awhile now!) called Dodz.  The ones I used for the centers were the 3D version.

Thanks for stopping by!
