What? More Lovely Layers?

Once I pull a set out, I like to use it a few different ways before putting it away.  Today was no exception. This time I made a gift tag.

I REALLY love Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse and Harvest Gold together :-) So bright and spring like --- my last attempt at holding on to summer. LOL.

Happy Holiday Weekend!

Lovely Layers - CAS

Hello!

I am really loving the Lovely Layers stamp set. So elegant and it really filled a niche in my arsenal.

I paired it with a few sentiments from the new Thanks All Ways set - I already know this will be a great set!

A Happy Card...and a Sad Card :(

Hello!

I had 2 life changing events happen to friends of mine this week - both warranted a card.  One card I was excited to make - but the other - well you know... Sympathy cards are always hard.

First - my friend and coworker proposed to his girlfriend this past weekend.  So I made them a congratulations card :-)

You know, when I first saw the Natural Beauties stamp set, I was on the fence - let me tell you - its one of my favorites now!!

Secondly, one of my other coworkers lost her stepson suddenly.  Sympathy cards are never easy.  This one was no exception.

Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey August Blog Hop!

Well it certainly has been a LONG time since I have participated in the monthly hop...but I finally found some free time!

This month's inspiration colors really spoke to me, I love neutral, masculine colors. You can see the original inspiration pieces here.

For my card, I chose to focus on the Argyle pattern, and the colors.  I noticed just a hint of orange in the inspiration photos, and chose to bring that in using the little flower center.

I used the new Think Big favorites (from August) and Lovely Layers (love this set!).  I used Ocean Tides, Ripe Avocado, Kraft, Canyon Clay and Dark Chocolate as my colors.

Don't forget about the Team Nicholas fundraiser! See this post for details.

Thanks for hopping by!

Welcome Baby!

Hello-

Its been awhile since I made some baby cards, and it seems like EVERYONE in my family is pregnant (NOT ME! LOL!) so I know these cards will be coming in handy very soon!

I made a few gender-specific cards (pink and blue) and then coordinated the dot colors to match...

I also made a few for those times when the gender is going to be a secret :-) a few in purple, a few in green.  I then replaced the pink and blue dots with orange.

Thanks for stopping by :-)
