Team Nicholas Father's Day Cards

Hello-

Today I am sharing a few cards that I recently made for good cause :-)  First, let me tell you about Team Nicholas...

Team Nicholas is a charity that was started in memory of a very sweet and courageous boy named Nicholas.  You can read his story here.  Nicholas is the son of a good friend of mine from High School.  Many of my blog readers know that my own brother was also diagnosed with Leukemia as a young boy.

Team Nicholas does many things to support the families of children in similar situations.  For instance, for Mother's Day they delivered baskets to the mom's that were at the hospital - just a little something to try to brighten their stay.  So when my friend approached me and asked if I would make some Father's Day Cards to put with the Father's baskets - of course I was willing to help!

Masculine Gift Tags

I'm not sure why I am on a Father's Day kick lately... Mother's Day isn't even here yet!! I think it's because my dad has been over at my house a lot in the last few days - doing odd jobs and supervising several improvement projects :-)   Anyhow - here is a little set of tags I made for the "men" in your life :-)

I used the Tie die from PTI and the paper is scraps from My Mind's Eye. I stamped the frame in Kraft ink from PTI ( I LOVE that color!)

Cards from Leftovers, part 2

Ok, ok, I know I am a bit early with this one - but the masculine colors and my intense desire to try out my new stamp set led me to this card -

This time, I used the patterned paper in a horizontal orientation, and capped it off with a stamped die cut from Happy Day (oh how I am loving this set already!)

I'm just hoping I remember where I put this card come June... LOL!
